The standard planned administration, maintenance and monitoring services are:
- Monthly: Network administration updates, track server baseline operating statistics, check system logs, and update documentation. Performed remotely via a telephone modem connection.
- Quarterly: Server “health check”, test tape backup and battery backup, apply the latest updates and patches to the operating system and accessories like virus protection software. Performed on-site.
- Semi-Annual: Server cleaning and maintenance, including diagnostics of standard components. Performed on-site.
- Help Desk and Emergency Service: Telephone and on-site support to handle emergencies and other unplanned events.

Based on the findings of that quarterly meeting, NextStep will develop action plans for future technology implementations.
