How long has NextStep been in business?

NextStep Technology Advisors, a division of Simon Lever LLP, has been specializing in business management software and technology services since 1986. Simon Lever LLP, one of the largest CPA firms in central Pennsylvania, has been offering accounting and consulting services since 1951.

Which software applications do you provide?
|
We specialize in implementing Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 business management software, and some of its major third-party add-on applications. Additionally, we are a Microsoft Certified Partner, offering a full range of Microsoft products and services. Citrix MetaFrame is another technology tool we deploy to extend the capabilities of your computer network.

We offer comprehensive network design, implementation and support services, classroom and one-on-one training, needs analysis and software selection, system implementation, and on-going support. Through our association with the premier public accounting firm of Simon Lever LLP, we can offer our clients a full range of professional business and technology consulting as well as accounting-related services.

What about custom software programming?
|
Using tools intrinsic to the software, our consultants are usually able to design and implement solutions to your custom requirements without modifying the standard programs. When absolutely necessary, NextStep partners with third-party developers to design (if needed) and implement custom modifications.

How about custom reports?
|
Our consultants are experts at creating custom reports to meet exacting requirements using report-writing tools such as Crystal Reports, FRx, F9 and Microsoft Access and Excel.

Do you sell computer hardware?
|
We offer our clients the option of buying hardware and software through us (we are authorized to resell most brands) or purchasing it themselves, based on specifications that we develop for them.

How much should I budget for software implementation?
|
As a guide, budget one dollar for implementation for every dollar of software you spend. We can usually provide you with an implementation quotation after a careful review of your needs.

What is NextStep’s approach to implementation?
|
We follow a methodology that includes a detailed implementation plan and timetable. These are prepared using our understanding of your business needs, and refined with constant communication and feedback. As your project managers, we will help you monitor progress through frequent reports and direct contact.

Do you offer
Sage MAS 90 training? |
We provide two types of training: classroom and one-on-one instruction. Classroom training is best suited for general subjects such as report creation. One-on-one is matched to the unique needs and abilities of your staff and ensures that each member obtains the skill set necessary to operate the software successfully and perform required tasks effectively and efficiently. How will you keep usinformed about the system?
|
We publish a newsletter and host complimentary user-group meetings throughout the year. Additionally, our consultants are always available to answer your questions, both general and specific.

What about annual software maintenance renewals and upgrades?
|
We will contact you prior to the expiration of your Sage Software’s ClientCare annual software maintenance plan to process your renewal. This plan allows you to keep your software current and functioning properly. We provide the renewal processing as a free service to our clients. Our consultants will also install the software upgrades and train your staff on new features and functions. |

Do you offer technical support?
|
Our support services ensure that you make optimal use of your technology investment. We offer prompt, efficient and courteous support to each of our clients. You can be assured that our professionals have the skill set and tools required to resolve even the most difficult situations. In addition, we have recently implemented technical support over the Internet using the LiveSupport system, giving us secure remote access to your system. We offer several support plans that can be tailored to suit your needs. |
